For Hotel Mangalam, one of Krishnagiri’s most well-known and respected culinary brands, food has always been more than a service—it’s an emotion and a tradition. Having had the privilege of designing two of their earlier projects, this collaboration marked the third, and perhaps the most ambitious, chapter in our journey together.
This time, the vision was clear: transform an old-fashioned restaurant into a contemporary, two-floor dining experience that resonates with modern aesthetics while staying true to its cultural roots.
The ground floor was designed as a warm invitation into Tamil Nadu’s heritage. Custom wallpapers depicting the richness of Tamil culture set the tone, blending storytelling with dining to create an immersive experience for every guest.
Moving upward, the first floor embraces a modern and contemporary design, perfectly complementing the brand’s vision of elevating its identity. Sleek finishes, well-planned lighting, and an open layout create an atmosphere that feels elegant and refreshing.
This floor also houses a banquet hall, designed to host gatherings and celebrations with comfort and style—an addition that expands the restaurant’s role from just a dining destination to a complete social experience.
And for us at Bara Architects, it stands as another successful milestone in our partnership, bringing together heritage, design, and vision into one harmonious space.
